Information We Collect

LocalEvents.dog collects the following information:

  • Event Coordinators: Email address and password (hashed) when you create an account to list events.
  • Visitors: We do not require an account. Your "Interested" events are stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and never sent to our servers.
  • Analytics: We collect anonymized page view data to provide event coordinators with visitor counts. We filter bot traffic and do not track individual users.

How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain the event listing service
  • To send transactional emails (account verification, password reset) via Resend
  • To display aggregate, non-bot visitor analytics to event coordinators

Data Storage

Account data is stored securely in our database. Passwords are hashed using BCrypt and never stored in plain text. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (event coordinators only). No third-party tracking cookies are used.

Your Rights

You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. Event coordinators can delete their events at any time from their dashboard.
